Regifting Christmas presents

Regifting Christmas presents

Regifting is when someone receives a gift or present, then gives it to someone else, usually as a gift. Something might be regifted if the intended recipient did not want it.

In the USA there is even a regifting day on December 18th, which was first proposed by a debt counselling group.

Obviously when regifting Christmas presents it is wise to rewrap the gift and of course not make use of it first!

We found a survey of their customers by .The Gift Experience

The survey found that two thirds of women and almost one third of men will regift a Christmas present.Almost two thirds of women and 20% of men believed that they would receive a regifted present.

The over 35’s were found to be the most likely to regift. 8% of women think that their regifting was found out.

The presents most likely to be regifts are toiletries (44%), perfume (26%) and cosmetics (13%).

Presents might be regifted several times and 10% of men and 8% of women have been regifted something that they originally sent!

How do you ensure that your gift won’t be passed on to someone else. We suggest that you personalise it!
