Easter’s over: You can buy an Easter Egg now!

The lockdown saw a scramble to buy Easter Eggs online.

Cadbury Gifts and Green & Blacks both paused their websites in the run up to Easter.

During the week before Easter, Cadbury put customers in a queue to enter their website. At times, up to 30,000 people were in the queue. They were told that it could take over an hour before they reached the head of the queue, when they would have 10 minutes to enter the site (we understand that they were allowed slightly longer). We’ve been told that some customers waited for over seven hours.

Today the site is up and running, with instant access most of the time. But stocks are depleted and delivery is expected to take at least four days.

Green & Blacks website is also up and running, albeit with a number of items out of stock and a daily limit to the number of orders. You may need to try again in the morning.
